Konidela Sivasankara Varaprasad who is professionally known Chiranjeevi or by the nicknames Megastar and Supreme Hero, is an Indian actor, film producer, TV host and former politician who was born on August 22, 1955 in Mogathur, a village in the Andhra Pradesh state of India but he currently resides at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. He is currently 68 years old and bears the Leo Zodiac sign. He is a veteran and well-known actor who started his acting journey in 1978 where he appeared in the movie “Punadhirallu”. He has ever since appeared in over 150 movies in languages like Hindi, Tamil, Kannada with majority of them being in his native tongue, Telugu. He is a film producer who has co-produced and singlehandedly produced movies such as “Rudraveena”, “Gharana Mogudu” among others. He is also a former politician who served as a member of Legislature in Andhra Pradesh in 2009 and eventually served as the Minister for Culture and Tourism under Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s regime. He has two younger brothers who are also into acting and politics. His brother Nagendra Babu is a famous Indian actor and film producer who is known for movies such as shock, Sri Ramadasu among others. His other brother who goes by the name Pawan Kalyan, is also an Indian actor, politician, filmmaker who is known for his portrayal in the drama series Gokulamlo Seeta. He is also the founder of the Jana Sena regional political party.

It was merged into the Indian National Congress, which won the 2012 presidential elections. After their victory, Chiranjeevi was appointed as the Minister of Culture and Tourism with independent charge serving from October 27, 2012 to May 26, 2014 under Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh’s regime.
