New and used Range Rover Evoque price in Ghana

The Range Rover Evoque was introduced by Land Rover as a compact luxury crossover SUV. It was a significant departure from the brand’s usual utility-focused designs. It was launched in 2011 with the aim of appealing to a younger crowd and urban drivers. Design

First Generation (2011–2018)

  • Concept and Reception: The Evoque was first previewed by the Land Rover LRX concept car unveiled in 2008. The production model, while toned down, retained much of the LRX’s groundbreaking design, including the rising beltline, sloping roof, and distinctive silhouette.
  • Variants: It was available in both three-door (named Coupe) and five-door body styles. The design was characterized by its bold and sporty appearance, high beltline, and muscular stance.

Second Generation (2019–present as of my last update)

Evolution: Introduced in 2018, the new Evoque was more of an evolution than a revolution, refining the design cues of its predecessor. It incorporated flush door handles, reduced panel gaps, and a more sophisticated look while retaining the recognizable silhouette.

Interior: The second generation also saw a substantial uplift in interior quality and tech, adopting the dual-screen Touch Pro Duo system and offering a more luxurious experience.

Specifications

First Generation

  • The Evoque was offered with a variety of petrol and diesel engines, ranging from 2.0 L turbocharged four-cylinders to 2.2 L diesels.
  • A 9-speed automatic transmission was introduced in 2014, replacing the initial 6-speed.
  • All-wheel drive was standard on many models, though a front-wheel-drive option was also available, emphasizing its urban appeal.

Second Generation

  • The new Evoque featured updated Ingenium engines, including mild-hybrid versions.
  • A plug-in hybrid variant combined a 1.5 L three-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor.
  • Most models employed a 9-speed automatic transmission, and the vehicle made extensive use of Land Rover’s Terrain Response system.

Available Models and Their Released Dates

First Generation

  • 2011: Range Rover Evoque was introduced in both three-door (Coupe) and five-door versions.
  • Special Variants: Over its lifespan, this generation saw special editions like the Victoria Beckham Special Edition in 2012 and the Convertible version in 2016.

Second Generation

  • 2019: The revamped Evoque was launched, highlighting its evolutionary design and updated specifications.
  • As with its predecessor, a variety of trim levels and special editions have been introduced to cater to different market segments and preferences.

The Range Rover Evoque, since its inception, has been a significant model in Land Rover’s lineup, bridging the gap between urban chic and rugged capability. Its design and features have made it a favorite among urban drivers seeking both style and substance.
