As a child, he was handed over to a legal guardian by the name of Tiffany Taylor as his parents were finding it difficult to make ends meet. He stayed with Tiffany in the Sugarhill  neighborhood, located in the Upper West side of Harlem where he did what every regular kid was doing such as engaging in sports such as Basketball, even though he was also into street activities like trapping. Living with Tiffany, he grew up with other siblings by the names of Tiffany, Jordan and Lori. He started rapping together with his friends for fun in his bedroom until he eventually enjoyed making music, which eventually led him to the studio. He drew inspiration from rappers like Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan and Lil Wayne.
